You may have your own opinion, but I know good and well,
when prominent conservatives say things such as this the media go haywire, ie Rush Limbaugh, Trent Lott, etc, etc. I know there are conservative nuts out there also and they make idiotic statements also. The media let's us know about that and keep hammering on it. The purpose of my post is to bring to late the hateful remarks liberals make. We don't elect people by poll numbers. I have full confidence that when the elections are over in November the Republicans will be just fine and still in charge. The American people are not going to be be fooled by poll numbers and hateful remarks by liberals. I stand by my post.

This has nothing to do with being Liberal. HUMANS don't like this kind of talk, and this kind of post just puts a wall between us even more. Dividing lines are not helping anything. What he said was stupid, I don't think he meant it to be racist, but it was. And if someone said anything "vanilla" it would be the same thing. But, Nagin's proven himself to be an idiot from day one. Nothing will get done in this country until we stop talking at each other and continuing this party line crap. This was about people, not parties or liberals and conservatives. But, in case you haven't been paying attention, the polls are all moderate and liberal for upcoming elections. I just did an article about that at my paper, and stupid comments by Nagin aren't going to change that.
