Know what you mean about the "ingrained" part of roles.  It's wonderful to hear that you consciously break away from the defined role of society ("bread-winner") and experience who you truly are.  It's a fantastic role model for the boys to see in action....kudos to you!!!

I feel guilty sometimes because I have this role thing ingrained in me: you know, the breadwinner, the man who brings home all the money, etc. But, I choose to have time off from that and be with my family. I'm getting more comfortable with it now, and my boys know me as well as their mom.

Thanks for stopping by & for your kind words.  As for my comments to you (earlier today)...well, I read you often and it seemed you needed quite a "pick me up."  (normally I comment almost every time I read a post, but lately, I've been working a temp job that's got me VERY sleep deprived...up at an unearthly hr. of the AM & working like a dog...so I don't always comment every time like normal).

I think Sannhet said everything that I was thinking about this post, except that instead of saying "good post" I would say it was truly wonderful. Perception of the roles and breaking free from them are important.

Thank you also for your heartfelt comment to my post.

Raven -
What a refreshing outlook! We each have a path that we have chosen, and it is the right path at the time, no matter what others make think. Good post.
