Avant,
Thanks.  I'll do that in the future.  Appreciate the suggestion.

RAME
I'm sorry that I have missed portions of this before now. It's hard for me to give suggestions to an aspiring writer, when I am one myself.

One thing that might make it easier to follow in the dialogues is to give a clue as to who is talking when. For example, if you wrote, 'Why do you drink all the damn time,' you could follow it with , she parried angrily.

If you have an extended dialogue, it helps the reader keep up with who's talking.

Keep writing. You've got talent.

Tapsel,

Thanks.  The problem is that I don't get enough time to write.  I just have to steal the computer when I can.

My dad is doing a little better these last couple of days and I will be going up to his place to clean, do laundry, and such on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.  His surgery is on Thursday and I want to get things ship shape for him before he goes in.  I want to be with him while he is feeling well but I have things to take care of here at home, too.   After today, I'm not sure if I will be able to be on the computer anymore than I have been so I'm taking advantage of every minute I can get on the computer.

My daughter will be here soon and will need it for her nursing school tests and such.  Thanks for your comments and for caring.

Anglofinspirtion,

Wow, there are two of them in K. C. !!!!???

Thanks for the comment.  Please keep reading.  Maybe we could compare notes.  It may help the story line.

Ainsley,

You guessed right about Adam.  You will see it develop.  The reason he kept "losing" jobs was to keep her on a constant roller coaster and to use up money so she'd never get any of it when they divorced.  As far as the kids, well things got stopped by her in time to take care of some of that money and only one of them really wanted to go to college anyway.

Thanks for keeping up and commenting.  I appreciate it a lot.

Now! Our heroine is about to get the man...

...she deserves!

Allen (oops!  I mean Adam!) sounds like someone who will eventually make her a wonderful husband and soulmate!

Keep this wonderful story coming every chance that you get!!!

One more thing...one reason that Will keeps losing and changing jobs (I suspect) is so that not only will Tiffany not be able to return to college but, also, the kids won't be able to start.

This man is probably so insecure that he feels threatened by having anyone close to him reaching a higher education level than he has.

Hugs!
AJ

I am into the story...
You are using my home town in your story, how intriguing, hmmmm. Almost sounds like my ex, too!

RAME, I don't know how you find the time to write with all you've been doing with and for your Dad.   It does seem that you are moving along very well in spite of being so busy.
