muser, I couldn't agree more! Actually I find having two of them around is wonderful. I'm sort of dreading the situation in just over a week when my eldest comes back and then there will be three...

Factor - the TV is usually on in my house, even when noone is watching! As a child I was banned from the TV, my parents didn't have one for years, so as an adult I don't mind if its on 24/7!

ginnie - he might be looking for attention, but I think you are right, birth order does play a role. He is the youngest and I've discovered that a lot of youngests are like him!

Cass,
sometimes I think that I will need a whistle to stop my girls from fighting... and they are still small! Oh well, that's what being a sibling is all about!

what I used to do to quell the battle impulse
was to place each one in a chair. The deal was, Offender 1 could not leave his chair until he got the permission of Offender 2. And vice versa. The only way they could end their "incarceration" was to negotiate and work together. They're in their 30s now, and have used the technique on their own.

Yes, sometimes it seems like the only way to
get a little peace in the house with my 2 boys is to turn on the television... They can really wear me out with the bickering and one having that need to always hear himself talking! (Except mine is the older of the two.)

Is he looking for attention Cass?
I only have one boy...in the middle of two girls...and I'm sure birth order has a lot to do with things...obviously gender as well. Sounds like you're being a good mediator!
