I Think One Could Say it Depends on the View

As with the word never, often few things fit for there is one...  Conversation to me infers at least two individuals with functioning brains!  If one parrots what the other or someone has taught with no active use of the brain, for me conversation does not occur.

I think this is a thought provoking, challenging question and post!

My train gets delayed a lot at the station now! But once it gets started, I
urge it forward with...I think I can,... I think I can,...I think I can...  Tapsel, I can always count on  Ebb to give me a push when I start slowing down!

This is all too much for me.  Ebb.And.Flow.    You and muser continue your conversation and I will just observe from the sidelines.  LOL

haha! passing phancy?
I was just writing my response to your last comment and posted it to come upon your most recent!  Too phunny!  You are a "pair o teases" ... you and old the Barbed one!  Witty.

well, muser
we are all prone to feelings that tend towards self-deprecation, but I would encourage you not to indulge them too much.  You ARE a writer par excellence!  And I am not the only one who thinks so.  I am frequently impressed by the number of accolades your writing brings.  Note:  I am not surprised, but impressed!  Keep up the good work.  And I mean that in terms not only of your writing, but also your comments.  But I would encourage you to start the Sonnet Game again--I've had the first quatrain out for over a week without a single entry!  Someone needs to get the ball rolling.

I wonder if parrotts converse about how so many humans seem to
have such little regard for their language? Do you think that parrotts speak parrottese in its purest form, or do you think they use slang and incorrect usage the way humans do? Maybe you could write a "parrotty" on the parity of Parrottese and Portugese! ...parallel our language usage? Oh, well...it was just a passing phancy!

Ebb, thank you for "forcing" me to stretch my mind. My neurologist
encourages me to exercise my brain. You sure provide many opportunities for me to follow my doctor's advice!
I am always amazed at your creative talentS.

Thank you so much for the comments.I am greatly encouraged! Sometimes I think I am a good writer; other times I think my writing is only good for lining a parrots cage!

muser

as usual, you offer some salient words of wisdom that are both intelligent and highly motivational...   thank you for your comment.  I guess all that remains to consider in regards to this question is the quality of the parrot conversation!  Perhaps it is moot, since it might be a "mean" only more or less meaningful than mediocrity:   since by (bi-) division:  parrot = par rot!   Ah well, it's better than sub-par rot.

Ebb you say cant is and can be canonical and I agree. Who can say
with absolute certainty whether cant is truly pious or hypocritically pious? I am an Episcopalian, and I never find the structure of the liturgy monotonous; I think it is very beautiful, and I never tire of it week after week.   How would one know if the rector is performing the service in cant anyway, anymore than he would know if parrots converse with one another. Only God knows the hearts of men...and whether parrrots praise Him or converse with each other about men...or are just a lot of raucous birdbrains!

huh?  Cant is, and it can be.  The question is:  Can it be canonical?
