Oh, man, I knew this was going to happen...
as soon as I saw the ads for the show, I thought, well, this is like waving a red flag at a bull.  First, Terri Schiavo, then Natalee, there just seems to be more distractions to stir the pot.

I kind of believe you show the show. . , and if it offends you THAT MUCH. . , just stop supporting the channel.  Watch ANOTHER show.

I believe the market should dictate itself.

That being said, I know that I won't be watching it.

Very well-writen,  stimulating topic.  Nice job!

Yeah, it's crazy!  Thank God they came to their senses and realized we're capable of making our own decisions

That's exactly what I thought! Many people probably did watch it because of all the attention it's getting.

I try not to get political either but I yeah, it does seem like things are going a bit far.

The whole controversary is very ridiculous and in my opinion the show wasn't that great.

Lol! I don't know, a dream about Aiden Quinn might not be so bad! He does have pretty eyes.

I have to admit. I didn't like the show. It wasn't nearly as funny as I thought it was going to be.

JoJo
I  plan on watching it too. Can't imagine why all the fuss about a TV movie. You would think we were kids and needed to have someone program our can watch channels into the tube!!  I can't imagine it being that big of deal, but I can imagine the networks making it that big of deal..Enjoy!!

I bet it's all publicity because....
Why wouldn't they air this show if in 1983, the miniseries Thorn Birds (a novel) aired, and the subject matter dealt with forbidden love between a priest and a woman.  A priest breaking his vows of celibacy and fathering a son is as controversial as an Episcopalian minister hooked on Vicodin.  Next publicity stunt will be animal activists demanding they don't air the movie, Clan of the Cave Bears, because of the controversies with hunting of the bears and the use of their skin as clothing.  By the way, Richard Chamberlain was cute back in the days.  I would have fallen for a priest like him too.

This sounds like another fight for P.O.O.P.
People Offended by Offended People.  I'll be tuning in just to see what the hubbub is all about, Bub.  Chances are, it's another one of those situations where the product sucks, but the controversy propels it to success.  In the words of Peter Griffin, The Family Guy: "How can they tell me what's offensive to see on TV?  Sarah Jessica Parker is on all the time and her face looks like a foot."

Hi Jojo....Why can adults be allowed to watch or listen to what they want!
That makes me so angry. I hope to remember to check out 'Daniel' tonight. Glad they have re-thought their position, NBC, that is, for your area.. I am a bit tired of this current administration's FCC crap and crackdowns. Ooops, excuse Medusa's political rantings. I try not to get too political.

jojostar, I hadn't heard about that.  Now you have me curious and I will have to watch it.

That sort of thing REALLY fries my ARSE!!!

What about FREEDOM of SPEECH?  People are so easily offended these days!

Pretty soon Halloween will be nixed because it's offensive!  UGH!!!

I'd better not watch it, though--you never know what kind of Devil?Priest?Aidan Quinn kind of nightmare I'd have, lol!

I am not Sure if it Will Show in This Area
As people have the chance to change channels on other shows, can separate facts from fiction, what is the difference.  Anyway, let us know what you think after you watch it.
