I guess my questions was rhetorical also!
No one can possibly answer questions such as that because there is no sense to it all. I used to be an athlete when I was younger, but I grew tired of all the games that was played along with the sport.

I guess my question was more rhetorical.
I know it's not one that can be answered. I was an educator for 15 years and one of the most frustrating parts of my job was the athletic department. Growing up my children were athletes, but they did tire quickly of the "antics." I'm thankful that they didn't grow up to be professional athletes or coaches...

Who can answer that question ms_bradrock?
It is pretty bad the things some of these guys do. The worst part about the deal are the coaches. They could stop the behavior, but you can't keep your job if you lose games so you put up with athletes such as this so you can continue to get paid your million dollar salary.

Athletes...such great examples for our children...
I don't think so! And yet, we continue to support their antics...Why is that?
