Know how it is on that particular score...Ego seems to be leading me down the primrose path lately, much more than I'd like...gonna have to really work on that particular challenge!

Glad you like the quotes (especially the last one).  No apology necessary...you weren't rambling at all.  It's just one of those kinda days.  (at least it is for me today...my thoughts are a bit "loggy" this evening - I've been proofreading Federal, State & Canadian tax forms ALL day & boy, am I TIRED!).

Raven -
Boy, thinking of no one but myself. This is me today. I awoke with Ego leading the charge. It's going to be an interesting day today.

I really like the last quote
The attitude of "what's in it for me?" is related more to self-intrest.  Frederick Neitszche often discussed discussed the concept of love for self.  He reasoned that all actions were motivated by love for self.  Sometimes this translates into survival, other times into being socially acceptable.  Personally, I think actions motivated by love for self are good things.  If you think about it admitting self-interest is the first step towards realizing the reasons for our actions.  Sorry, if I seemed to be rambling.

Thanks.  You're right...surrendering does make the difference in the outcome of a situation.  (for me, it's all about remembering to surrender...too many times, I remember AFTER most everything has happened...guess that's what happens when you get older, huh??...lol).

Sometimes, I find myself having to wait and I realize it is for a reason. Surrendering control will usually result in something I was meant to experience. Good post.
