Contradiction
There is something so sweet and special about naivety..yet it can be used against you as well, eg. "I can't believe she trusted that jerk---She's SO naive!"  I for one, would prefer to be naive over jaded.

Oooh, you're making me think.......
Having just lost (last year now) my "innocence" with my extramarital romp, I'm more in mourning now that I've become more worldly.  For example, when I watch movies or tv shows that deal with infidelity, I understand differently those nuances that before I "got," but had never felt before.  Life was forever changed but I will survive.

Guess I'm a good mix of naive and worldly.

You can't live out on the streets like I do for months on end and not get "seasoned". But I do still try to hang on to that "child" inside me and not let her go completely.

Can't wait to read your Torrid Tale.
