You're All Pretty Nuts...

...not to mention hyper-under-educated.  Another product of the Reagan-era attack on public education that continues to this day.

You may be right about my post's length.  I just had to respond with my own thoughts.

When it comes to critiquing professors at major universities, I'll leave that to you folks.  As for me, until I have a PhD  myself, I don't consider myself enough of a peer to take that sort of pursuit as lightly as you all have.

You misjudge me, Hemlocker.
I believe in attacking the idea not the man. Please point out to me any post I have made where I call anybody a name in any way shape or form. You will not find one, because I do every blogger the courtesy of  taking his arguments seriously and responding in kind.

Ad Hominem attacks are the scourge of the internet and are obstacles to vigorous and reasoned debate and I deplore them as much as you.

Can we not find a common ground?

All bloggers are morons--
None of them have facts.  They just like to argue and hear themselves talk.

Anyone who takes
The Wall Street Journal's editorial page seriously has worms in his brain--if he has a brain.

I could have told you
you'd be hearing from mongeaux soon, but you already have and of course he's called you and Krugman a horse's ass.  Next you may be hearing from Corbin Dallas, who is "on it" whenever there's a rumor that another clueless liberal is spouting off.  If you want to do these kind of posts (and this one is too long--you have to be more concise) you'd better get ready for these knuckleheads to dispute everything you say.  They are walking robots for neo-conservative talking points.  As for me, I'm getting out of Opinion and moving to Home and Garden.  Have a great new year.

Posts this long do not normally get read.

The attention span of the normal blogger is about 4 or 5 short paragraphs.

BTW, the horrible mess after Katrina wasn't Bush's fault...It was the local and state officials. They had never dealt with a disaster or a hurricane this size.

When a disaster, such as a Cat 3 or 4 hurricane hits TX or Florida, the local and state officials know exactly how to respond and they do so with whatever aide the victims need.

Bush was not responsible for the travesty there. That ignert Mayor Roy and Gov Blanco - it was their job to request and co-ordinate the aide for their citizens. All they did was point the finger at others while they're citizens were suffering and dying.

I know it's fun to blame Bush for just about everything but it wasn't his job here.

You got guts
to mention "Krugman" and "Facts" in the same sentence. I recommend you to the Krugman Truth Squad , described on the Liberal website "Dean's World" as

"...a group of renegade economists trying to restore a sense of balance to minds set akilter by the deranged factoids regularly emitted by gadfly Paul Krugman. Each entry is a stiff dose of reality-restoring medicine. Anyone who takes the New York Times editorial page seriously owes it to himself to read all of it. If you don't have the patience for that, just read Issue #2, Issue #16, or my all-time favorite, Issue #8."

Why do you think the New York Times now insulates their credibiltiy-challenged Editorial Staff behind a Pay Site?

Bloggers were having too much fun eviscerating them with facts, that's why.
