Teddypoet,
Happy New Year to you too!  Rest assured, they'll get theirs.

I wonder if smiling in the face of pirates is some context of virtue...had the same thing happen to me! Happy New Year!

TF,
There are way too many unscrupulous business folk if you ask me.

Tapsel,

That's especially true when you know there are books there you'll never read as well as others you'll never bother reading again.   Good luck with making space.

Reminds me of all the times I've visited the pawn shop. Talk about thieves. My girl spoke her first word in a pawn shop. She said balloon. Of course, she got the balloon. Done business with car title people too. You know, give them the title of the car for some bucks. Never went to a pay check advance but then again I have no regular pay check.

word.smith, I'm going to start some trashing as soon as my OOT company leaves on Tuesday morning.   You'd think that two very large book cases with six shelves each would be plenty for my needs, but NO!  I can't cram another thing on them and I know that much of it is not needed.

I had a similar experience once and just never went back!

Happy new year to you too! As for the books, try Bookcrossing.com and set up an account there -- there are members all over the world, and you can swap books for ones that you want to trade. It works out great, and there are some very nice folks over there. If there's anything you would like, let me know -- I just might have a copy over here. Tell them I sent you if you decide to join -- it costs nothing.
