right, it is a virtual gold mine of interesting ideas. However, Deaver's idea has been hacked into plots on several crime shows lately, including
CSI: Miami. The book was published in 2001.

Great review. This seems like a rich area to mine for a crime/mystery writer: the internet/dot.com world. It's a mystery to me, and I suspect many as well, the workings of this inner world. I can't remember Denzel in the Bone Collector, but I need to look up that one, too. Thanks for pointing this one out.
