SlyCy,
in this blog, you needn't have added that second comment.
The host here, I can safely assure you, is not among the demagogues who assume that critics are traitors.

It would have been a mere formality to at least obtain the
warrants to legalize the wire taps but this punk of a president has decided that he is above the law. This is not the first time nor will it be the last. He should be run out of town, but we just swallow his bush shit. He makes me ashamed to be an American and I hate him for that.

Seems a...
...reasonable assessment to me, though i'm sure there are some around here who would disagree!
Thanks for stopping by, Dylan.

Mr. Bush used to wrap his agenda in warm-and-fuzzy language,
giving a lot of rhetorical service to liberal themes -- hence "compassionate conservatism" and "a broader definition of liberty" (freeing people from poverty through public support).
What worries me is that now he doesn't even feel the need to wrap his agenda in nice conciliatory language. He just boldly defends his policies, implies his critics are traitors, accusing them of "endangering the lives of our citizens".
Must be because his policies have not provoked the backlash that should have taken him out of office in 2004. He has grown bolder and more extreme because he can get away with it.
