and actually
the early followers of Jesus (Yeshua -- given Jewish name) called what they were following "The Way" -- it was only outsiders that first gave them  the name of "Christians".
Wasn't realy after "Christ" the person either -- it was "Christ", the way of life.

I agree with Gome. All religions will ultimately fade because loving another as yourself is not a religion. It is a way of life.

Xeno-x - I've seen that study before and for the most part I trust the
figures, or at least the trends being presented, as they are mirrored in all other industrialized western nations. But consideration must be given to the date of the study and the fact that an impacting historic event in 911, has impacted the results dramatically. An interesting poll would be how much the Christian religions have seen an up-spike in growth since 911.  I have to agree utlimately with John Lennon however. Where belief in God will never fully wane, antiquated and ever reduncant facades representing that belief, will lose their appeal.
