Many years ago, as a medical social worker, one of my rounds included the hospital's 'pavilion', which housed the very sick, the very elderly and the very ALONE. Christmas, especially, was a heartbreaking time for them and for us who visited. Your thoughtful post is a loving reminder to include in some way those who are alone.
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Cypress...
I always knew you were a sweetie! Anyways, I spend a lot of time in assisted living and nursing homes since I staff them. I often stop and chat for a while with the people there. Hopefully, someone will do the same for me someday.

cypress... that's a great message. Spending time is more important than
money or gifts any day.

The visit will make your Dad’s day. I volunteered to work Christmas because my co-workers have families. Christmas is for children too. I plan to celebrate with my family in the evening. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Cypress, what a sweet message, my friend. This Christmas day dad
and I will be spending it together, alone. My husband is heading to be with his side of the family, and my brothers are doing their thing with their wive's side of the family. We'll all be together Christmas Eve, but I couldn't leave dad alone on Christmas day, so that's where I'll be.
