about that Lutheran service
Babe-rocks, I know what you mean about the religious part- I consider myself a very spiritual person but I have a problem with many of the 'organized' religions.  This particular service contains lots of mandatory sing- along hyms that all seem to be in the ridiculously impossible upper registers, possible for only kids and old ladies to sing!  I have to kind of squeak the hyms.

Nanaroo,
Why do Moms do that?  The "Why can't you be more like so-and-so?"  thing.  Hang in there.

lf you really don't want to go, stay home. Or go and find it wasn't so bad. Don't worry. l am going to two Lutheran church services. The problem with this is it gives the impression l am more religious than l really am.

a heart felt thank you!
Thanks Bud, I was about to erase this blog because I though it sounded 'whiney' but your comment made it all worthwhile and I'm going to leave the post as is!

Chrisrtmas nonsense

Our Christmas season reminds me of the Star Trek episode where they are on a planet where the inhabitants go crazy and loose all control for a few days.

I enjoy being at the other end of the country from my judgemental relatives.

There is a bliss to being out of the nonsense loop. I don't get lonely at all. The shallowness of most relationships has turned me off to any close contact. Dog park friends are great, because no matter what happens we won't be in each other's faces for long.

Happy riding on you rocket, you motorcycle momma!
