Thank you.  It's not easy to choose the right path when you're confronted with a person you aren't fond of (or most especially with someone who tends to get under your skin & be really irritating).  For me (as stated in the post)...this is one of my biggest challenges.  Glad to hear that you chose well when you encountered your sister-in-law.

You're absolutely right. I spent the afternoon yesterday around my sister in law, someone whom I don't really care to be around. We had words about three years ago, and yesterday was the first time I'd seen her since then.

I noticed my comments about her, were really things about myself that I noticed in her. It was an eye opening experience. I feel it lifting even as I write this. Great post.

You're absolutely right...those pesky feelings do sometimes tell us things that we'd rather not hear.  Many times, it can be downright frightening.  For me, that's why I consider folks who can handle their feelings in positive ways as courageous.  Anyone who can look their feelings in the face & handle the situation/circumstances & live to tell about it...those are brave folks that I hold in esteem.  (mostly because this is an area of my life that I can vastly improve).

Raven -
Unfortunately, sometimes feelings tell us things we don't want to hear. And that can be pretty scary for some folks.
