My doctor put me on Lexapro for Anxiety/Depression
I highly recommend going to Lexapro's website at www.lexapro.com and taking their quizzes. They have one for depression and one for anxiety. I found that what I thought was depression was actually just General Anxietry Disorder.
I've recently started working with EFT also which is an energy healing technique like acupuncture without the needles. It's great for emotional issues. Learn more about it at www.sudsywudsysoap.com/eft or www.emofree.com
Hope you feel better soon!

A new journey! I'm sure it will bring you excitement, frustration and insight. Its good to talk to someone and it will be good to focus just on you for a bit. Take care...

Hmmmmm
Good idea to admit to problem. Be careful about thinking about what is wrong with you. In any relationship more than one person is involved. Often we are victims and do not realize the importance of not internalizing negative comments and actions of others that chip away at self esteem. Spouses can do things intentionally bring out jealousy as a result of their insecurities. In addition if the spouse is clueless regarding the feeling of the other and reactions that too can be a problem.
Things will be better. I agree with some of the other comments. God bless you.

Rachel--
Many blessings and good luck to you. There IS hope and a way to release the depression demons. Yes, it can be scary but as you said, also exciting. One piece of advice--you may not "click" with the first therapist...and you will know it right away...so don't hesitate to find someone else that you DO click with.

Even having those couple of hours to focus on you will help. Recently I saw a friend whose life has been hellish in recent years and who is the sole carer for her family. She was being sent on a work training course the next day, looking at ways of improving management skills. I thought that course might be a nuisance but she said no it was relief because she never gets time to focus on herself.
It would be unthinkable to carry on as you are..

Thanks Ariala...
I think talking to someone will be good, if for no other reason than that I have to do it alone, so there will be a couple hours every month that are mind.

Rachel, I'm impressed too...most people wouldn't have made it as well
as you have. You've been through a heck of a lot these last two years I've known you on Blogit...I hope you find the peace and answers you're looking for.
