I'm old and out of touch & wondering what is
a white party?  And it's so-o good to hear that someone's overcoming adversity and dancing while the music plays...  Nice post. :)

Offbeats - I usually shop at what we call Direct Factory Outlets - stores that sell name brands and designer labels at a low cost. I can pick up some really good bargains there.

Party on, Ca88andra,
Sounds like a good time, don't be so hard on yourself about buying "practical clothes".  After all those basketball courts, it'll be fun to get out and party.

Ca88...always be careful what you wish for,and pray for! I have noticed
that God has a keen sense of humor! I am glad to hear that your social calendar is rapidly filling... of course, selfish person that I can be at times...I'll miss your posts...because I don't think it sounds like you'll have time to write! Enjoy yourself!

I was going to suggest to you what Offbeats did.. One place I have
found great clothes is at Goodwill especally if the store is located near an affluent neighborhood! My daughter in law bought new sweaters for the kids for $3 each...the sweaters were from trendy stores.

Cass
You could always go to the vintage stores...they have lots of clothes there for the holidays...and to tell the truth so does consignment shops... Which ever, I am glad your getting to go to the parties!

Good for you!
I'm very proud.   Once you get back into the swing you won't want to hide, it will be grand.

Have lots of fun, Ca88andra! And what concerns getting new outfits: I've been losing weight the last two years and ALWAYS need to buy new things! My advice would be to buy something in black, which is alway classy.

I think you're probably going to have a lot of fun, but be careful and be
safe.  It's Christmas and you deserve the new clothes, so go have a good time with that too.
