@ Fionajean
I told her the same, maybe they are going through a funk right now. Give them time, if they come back wholeheartedly maybe they needed the seclusion for a while.If not....move on, they lost, not you.

@ Blanche
Bermuda Triangle - I like that! I don't think it has anything to do with the holidays in her case...it's just the natural ebb and flow of life. I'm amazed at how I can say that without feeling hurt myself....years ago I would have been crushed. Ah, experience.....

@Bright Irish
 Thank you...There's an old Bill Withers song which I love called "Lean On Me". Sadly, there's not enough of it going on in this day and age...if only we'd stop and listen sometimes.

Also tell your friend
that it's their problem not hers. I'm at that stage at the moment where it is absolute heaven for me to stay at home alone. It's not an indictment on any of my friends and they realise that I get like that at times. We keep in touch during my solitary peiods through e-mail and phonecalls. Maybe these friends of hers just needed time alone.

New Yorker,
It may be the time of year. I used to refer to this period of 6 weeks between Thanksgiving and New Years as the Bermuda Triangle, because my friends seemed to get sucked into a vortex and I was left alone.

Hello.. I think you gave your friend wonderful advise and that she is very lucky to have a friend that can relate to her feelings.
