I like your picture!

Now that you mention it, I should follow suit and do some life re-organizing too. I've been so miserable lately.  Take care, and I hope your "me" time is fun

Maggie - thank you! I don't know if I'm preserving my sanity or simply ensuring I stay healthy lol. But now I'm trying to keep up with whats been happening here. Must set a time limit though or I could be here all day...

ca88andra it sounds like you know what you have to do to retain your sanity

You sound like a busy lady, that's for sure and only you know what you have to do.  We'll miss you out here, but we'll, more than likely,  be here when you get back.

Take care and God bless.

ginnie - I do miss being on blogit more regularly - you are totally right about the support here. Unfortunately its not something I can do while I'm doing something else, if you know what I mean. As it is I'm now thinking I should be at the gym...

Good to see you Cass!
I think it's probably very healthy to distance ourselves from blogging, from time to time.  I know I was more productive with 'paid' writing when I took a break but I did end up missing everyone...this is a great support group.  You probably have the right balance...blogging once a week.  I just find sometimes that if I want to 'say' something, blogit is the only place I can say it and get feedback too!  And...you can't do it all!  Good to hear all's okay in your world!

Offbeats - It is a good thing to know blogit will be here tomorrow... at least that gives me time to catch up on my reading!

Ca88,

I'm sure he appreciates your mellowing and lightening up on him, too!  In the end, what does a little clutter matter?

Blanche - I'm finding I'm more picky too - about most things. I'm also finding I'm not as obsessive about things like housework any more. I can even cope with the way my son folds the laundry - at least he folds it now!

Timmy - thank you! You are very kind.

Ca88andra,

The philosophical comes when we're forced to admit we're mortal and have finite limits on time, energy and money.  Like Peter McWilliams wrote in his motivational series, "You can anything you want, you just can't have everything you want."  The 70s fostered the idea of the "superwoman" who could have it all, the 80s fed it even more, 90s was more about downsizing, and now in the new millenium, I think the reality is that there is less time and money, but I'm finding that I'm not drawn like a magpie to shiny things in the shops, I'm more picky, I'm more picky about how I spend my time, too.

It seems that many folks here have suffered the same. Blogging is addicting, gotta get off the blog!! Good to see that you have not gone for good
