First of all, HIPAA laws (www.hhs.gov/ocr/hipaa) prevent me from discussing specific individuals in my practice, whether I name them or not.  I could get in legal trouble if a patient thinks I'm specifically discussing him or her.

Second, I wish to present information that everyone can use - information that people can bring to their own doctors for discussion.  I wish to arm people with the knowledge they need to speak confidently to their doctors about their own health.  I can't empower people in this way if I merely relate gossip and fluff.

Plenty of readers have appreciated the information I have conveyed in the past year of existence of this blog.  If you're looking for more personal stories of triumph or tragedy, watch reality TV.

Hey Doc,
Can you give me a comment on business idea for bloggers on Blogit. It's under my fiction column. I also write under, news and politics and pets as well. You'll see by my writings people stries matter to me, they show a person's connection to humanity, not a bad thing to hope from your doctor. You must have many touching stories that all of us wish you would express as  the talented writer you are.

Doctors are always going to be misinformed by the Pharnacuticals
So why believe them in the first place? People trust their doctors way to much. What was not long ago the domain of quacks is now the jealously guarded turf of international merchants of death and quackery. All this is reinforced by the other half of the consumer driven team, the doctors. These are a self regulating, self absorbed, self monopolized exclusive sect of pompuous controllers who promote fear and nonsense. Why don't I hear some human stories from you, if I wanted regurgitated magazine articles, I'd go to my barber's shop. I mean where are those interesting stoties that would show us how connect you are with the PEOPLE who come to you. I'd like to find a doctor that can put people into the top priority spot in their lives. Those are rare types among your profession today.
