Yeah, it's interesting stuff. Like you, it's something that I realize needs careful respect, but I like reading about it, learning what other people believe and why. :)

Voodoo is serious business.
It's very much a faith based system, or a religion, to many people in this country now...but in other countries, like Haiti, it's really the religion. You know my beliefs well enough to know that certain things do deal with supernatural more than others, and the intent of the believer practicing (and skill) can make a difference. But, for some who are not serious, who just take it as fancy, it's a way to pray...focus thought to create energy in a certain direction. I believe in "evil" in the world, and I believe there are things in the unknown, otherworld, "out there" that I don't want to meet, or need to treat with respect (which is what Voodoo is highly based on, respect)...but I believe that bad/good/black/white what ever magick/voodoo whatever is in the intent, heart, will of the practitioner. The one thing I do know, for any practice, or do honestly believe, is that whatever you put out, you get back (not in the Wiccan form...this runs deeper and wider than that). In any energy flow, any practitioner who does something to someone that is unjustified, or is into hurting people through any type of the dark arts, will reap what they sow. It's so funny, Rachel, we are still thinking the same things. I'm reading a lot of similar things right now. If you are really interested in anything, let me know. I'll make a recommendation.
