It's good you retrieved it but if it had been gone for ever it might have been a good time to learn a pragmatic lesson. I've lost my first autobiography(thank God). My first five chapters at prolongued torture writing have even slipped my mind. My first good atempt at epic fiction remains in fractured form somewhere. The most important thing about former writings that I have found to be true is that, whatever is flowing from my fingers at present is the best of all of it.

Oh what a wonderful tool!  I am so glad you were able to recover it.

Whoa! That certainly warranted a dramatic reaction. I think I would've
been physcially ill.  I'm so glad you recovered it.  Phew!  Now, "double-back-it-up!"   Phew

I figured I'm not the only author that's ever encountered that problem. Trust me on this one- it's a hideous thing to have happen!

Thanks. I know I haven't been really active lately because my schedule is really eratic.

That was a close call. I'm glad you're still writing and blogging here.
