Corbin, ROFL, but also a very sad state of affairs.  Speaking from personal experience as a nurse who has given many IM (intra muscular) injections, I can vouch for the difficulties of giving IM meds when assoc with wider hips/girth.   Just a wee bit harder to find those landmarks . . . .

CD, Yep, it looks as if Joe is gearing up for another run. He has to get
to the right of Hillary at least.

I saw something today that I never thought I’d see. Never even thought such a thing existed. And when I saw it, I laughed and laughed because I thought about how this thing would so hugely disturb the libs: A HUMMER LIMO!

And I didn't even point out...........

The interesting statistics in the article.......

50 people participated........25 men........25 women

Two-thirds of the group didn't get all of the medication needed. So that would be 34 people.

23 out of 25 women didn't......

So that means that only 11 of the men didn't.......

Now before I get pummeled..........I am sure the numbers would have been higher with the men if the shots were given  in our "Beer Bellies"....

Did I get out of that one?????

I know this topic wasn't political in nature.....

unless there's an "American Association for Big Butts" or a "Dieting for Proper Medication Techniques League".

I learned something from the article....I had no idea that it was important to get depth with those needles....I always thought the nurses were just sadistic!

But honestly, it was a break from the "He Lied" regimen we go through on a daily basis around here..........

scoop

Scoop....it went the other way down here in the South......

Tennessee wanted the largest capacity football stadium.......they only needed a few hundred seats to pass up Michigan;s stadium......so instead of having a capital building project...someone came up with the idea to move the lines on the bleachers 1-2 inches CLOSER together....it gave them the seats they wanted....but you had to make sure when standing up to yell or cheer, you were one of the first to sit down.....or you may need a shoe horn or two to get your seat back.

I can not imagine having a longer needle, but I have a very small tush so I don't worry about it...but I don't like them either way!!! We are a larger nation, there is no getting around it. On the average of 100 people I see per day, 75% are large people!!

Corbin actually you are on to something
I saw a piece on the news a while ago about seats in waiting rooms and planes being made wider and I believe it was the Boston Red Sox who made the bleacher seats bigger from like 14 to 19 inches, good post

First it was TV.  Now it's blogging.  It would seem that we are all destined to be a bunch of fat asses.  SURPRISE!  I loved the humor in your post, serious as that longer needle business may be. Next thing you know---we'll be hearing on  News at 11 that longer needles cause cancer.

Vegetarian "beef" and cheese manicotti.........

Looks yummy........

Hmmmm? Would that make it  a "Bi-polar" dish?

posted by Corbin_Dallas on November 28, 2005 at 4:57 PM | link to this | reply

Disturbing indeed, especially after a fine dish of manicotti...see my
religion post for details.  Bring the longer needle.
