I agree with that Blanche.....neither side own the franchise on kooks....I have to admit that the left kooks are very creative.........

CorbinDallas,

There are fringes on the left and the right.  This particular extreme is a little disturbing: it sounds there are those that are calling this a "lifestyle", living off the fat of the land, and making it trendy, but it's still a form of entitlement, and, I think, that's a big sore point for both the left and the right.  It's just a matter of who's feeling entitled to what.

Ya know, Corbin, those fucking vegans are a little shy of an electric spark
for synaptic relay.  Okay, so it's cost-effective - sometimes.  It's cheap, that's for sure.  It is also illegal and unsanitary.  Part of the vegan horde is also pro-PETA also, another lunatic fringe currently promoting a comic book that calls everyone's dad a murderer if he hunts and fishes.  These people are laughably ridiculous.  They need to get with the human program -- we're omnivores, dammit.  Oh, and stay out the dumpsters, you avaricious bastards and let the homeless and the marginal have a chance at a flat-screen TV and some rice!

Thanks for stopping by......not to change the subject here,......

But, Anthony's got a problem....I have had it happen to me, too.  His text is very large while on Blogit.  It makes for a tedious way to read the site....anyone got any suggestions?   Visit his blog and let him know if you have one......

Great Post.. Unbeleivable, I suppose if they get sick they'll blame it on the cemicals that are added to our food instead of the unsanitary places that they get their food.

I love dumpster diving ~

~ Popping d-divers off with my .223 is a lot more fun than just going to the dump to shoot rats.  Probably because of the way the bullets richochet around for a while in the dumpster.

Those poor people who shoot hunters to prevent pain to a lobster have so many screws loose they look like cheesecloth and nothing to drip. Thank you for the lovely Thanksgiving comment. I can only come on here for a few minutes at a time but I hope all is going nicely as usual. I did write a post but I have dropped so low one would be hard put to find it. Because of that only, I am leaving a link, of course I need the clicks, I'm outta work now. LOL  When you need a break from sanity drop by. Be blessed in all that you do.  http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/Justsouno2128/

Corbin Dallas,
I missed somethng here.  I followed your link and read the description of "freegan" as a combination of "free" and "vegan" and yet, for Thanksgiving, she had turkey?  I can't imagine, being a member of the left myself, though one who shops at grocery stores (and not in the dumpster), trying to put together a vegan meal, out of a dumpster.  I thought they were such picky eaters.

All I can think of is the colonies of bacteria growing on the food.  I guess, as long as I have a job and can afford to, I will buy groceries the old fashioned way -- in a store, or at a Farmer's market -- but not via dumpster diving.

I can see, though, how some would get their jollies off doing such, living on the edge, being daring and such.  I must be getting old and staid. . . .

...because who doesn't get hungry when they smell over ripe fruit simmering
in a dumpster on a hot summers day...the bacteria is just bonus protein

Corbin great post and it brings back some memories of 20 years ago
When I was a deputy my partner and I were checking out a supermarket in a town located between two villages about 3 in the morning and as we swung around back we found this police car from one of the villages, outside of their jurisdiction, sitting there with the motor running running and as our lights hit the dumpster up popped this sergeant with a armload of meat. We said nothing, clicked on the overheads and drove off, never to be mentioned again.

I have seen dumpster divers in action. God I would die if I had to do that, plus I would end up falling inside!

After Hurricane George, my employee borrowed my silverado. A friend of mine saw him do it, I had to take the truck back because I didn't want people to think it was me...In all honesty, I was one of those who were dumping stuff, never thinking people would dive in the dumpster to retreive it!
