Scary stuff...
I moved away from the only place I have ever really known about three years ago.  It was scary, for sure.  But, I think I am better for it.  Sometimes, you need to break out of the comfort zone to really achieve all that you are capable of achieving.  You'll do well.

Most people really don't like change. Moving away from all that you have nurtured is very scary. I admire you for doing it. But hey, you are one person who will have no problems adapting to somewhere new.  You will have new friends in no time. Life is an adventure and you are going on a new one. Just think, You will only be a stones throw from Colorado. You will soon become a Bronco's and Av's fan!!!

Damn!! Life is getting better for you all of the time!!!!

Seriously, I am glad that you are not leaving us here in blogtown.

Lens, thank you sooooo much for those comments.

That really does help!! And, you're right. I have to keep thinking that way. I keep telling myself that there has to be something waiting for me there that is meant to be.

So you're joining us out here in the Pacific northwest?  Cool....   It's not the tropical paradise that Florida is, but it's beautiful in its own way and I'm sure you'll come to love it.  Now, that said, I know you first have to get through the trauma of leaving friends behind and settling into new and strange surroundings.  Once you start making friends, though, and feeling at home in your new home, it will get better and better.  I'm from B.C., but I spent many years in Eastern Canada and made many friends and had a fun lifestyle there.  I moved back to B.C. 7 years ago and it was a real life change.  But now I'm totally at home, new friends (plus still in touch with and visiting back and forth with old ones) and glad I did it.  Good luck with it all and all the best.  Blogiteers will be standing by here for you to vent at, of course

Thank you for that, Sir Strat.
I have heard how beautiful it is. I'll try to handle all this the best I can. Hmm, critters, huh? kewl.

JJ, thank you.
But I'm gonna hold you to that.

I know sudden change can be a bitch, Young Miss.
But somehow, I've got the feeling you'll dig Oregon. Everyone I know who has ever spent time there has fallen in love iwth it and stayed there. Lots of outdoors stuff -- all kinds of critters!

But I know, moving is a pain in the ass, and uprooting from a place can be a little traumatic, too. Take care!

spiff,
You make me sad for you, but it will work out.  Change always has a sad side, but once you get through the sad part ''the sun will come up tomorrow.''    jj

MayB, thank you so much. I hope it does bring something
new and good into my life. And yeah, it sure does suck to have to physically leave so many people I have grown to know and love.  But, I'll make the best of it somehow.

Spitfire70, i think this will bring all sorts of opportunites and experiences into your life but I do know how difficult it is to move far away from people you've spent years with. Take care

Thanks, Military.
However, I certainly don't have any plans on moving out of Blogitville. At least not right now. Things have been so busy and hectic for me recently and I haven't been able to post and comment as often as usual, but I don't plan on leaving this community. I love you guys and leaving here would really be a huge loss for me. I am thankful that at least this community can come with me anywhere I physically move. Maybe that is another positive thing to hang on to.

JJ,
All I keep hearing about Oregon is that it is so beautiful there. There are actually more people living in Miami than in the entire state of Oregon! Wow. That will be a nice change. However, I will really miss Tampa.

Thank you Masky!!
I do hope it will all be okay. Whatever happens, I'll have to make the best of it!

Best of luck with your new venture.

Spiffie,

It's not easy to move from a place that you are used to and have established roots in, but it sounds like a good decision.  You can still stay with Blogit, ya know.  That kind of gives you something to hang on to.  I lived on Northern Cal for a long time, just below the Oregon border, and it really is beautiful country.  The winters are cold, but they don't bite through you like places farther east.  Ciel lives in that part of the country.  Look at some of her blogs to get impressions.  She has some really nice pictures.

It won't be easy, but I think it will be good.  Given a choice, I would take Oregon over Florida without a second thought.  I don't have roots in either place, but that makes everything equal, and I think you will like Oregon.     Buena suerte, amante   jj

Spitfire...
I'm glad that you at least get to spend a final Thanksgiving and Christmas in your new home...possible New Year, too?!    I hope that the move is the beginning of bigger and better things.  Though it's hard to be uprooted, and though you may head there kicking and screaming, you're a strong person.  I wish you the very best with this!
