I loved the fact that I made it into a story
The story was also good - I'm missing the cops, could you send them right away?

I think it's also a great idea about the vocab so I'm going to give it a bash: (Bear in mind I could be completely wrong)

Chary- I'd imagine it means careful, hesitant.
Auspice - Difficult to explain, under the cover of, eg: under the auspices of.
Arcane- I always thought it meant esoteric, otherworldly.
Baleful- Menancing
Censured - To be reproached.

(If I got those right, it's thanks to completing lots of Reader's Digest word quizes as a kid. If I got them wrong - It's 'cos of age. Problem with vocab is if you don't use it, you lose it.)

Danceswithwords
Well, at least I got to burst in with the handsome police officers. I'll have to try this exercise. (Not the handsome policemen as I don't think Jonathan would appreciate that very much. )

Good work
A polished vocabulary is a big plus. I studied the dictionary for many years, until I realized that the words I was using were virtually unknown. You can go too far with it, I learned.
