- Go to I Miss the Heavyweights
There's nothing out there on the horizon as far as heavyweights go. I thought Vitaly Klitschko was the best of a horrnendous bunch of slobs, or should I say the lesser of the evils, but he's now retired. Not that he was ever going to go down in the annals of heavyweight greats or anything... nor is his egg shell jawed brother either. This is the worst grouping of heavyweights in the history of the sweet science. That pieces of shit like John Ruiz, Fatboy James Toney, and Hasim Rahman are at the tops of the lists is an absolute disgrace.

You got that right. I guess the only great fights we will see from here on will be the reruns on ESPNClassic.

I agree, we need a new crop of good heavyweights, ones that will provide exciting bouts like the "little" guys. I believe the only thing that will save boxing is establishing a single controlling entity, akin to the NBA or NFL. With only one boxing commision to set rankings and rules about who fights who and when, it would eliminate a lot of the politics and b.s. that ruins the sport. I kno, I know. I'm dreaming. That'll never happen.
