ThomasFranklin, this is very interesting though a bit frightening.  I can't imagine being in prison.   I feel a lot of sympathy for anyone encarcerated.

Hello Frankenkitty
My pard, Thomas Franklin, gave me the facts on your fathers incarceration. I feel vehemenant anger toward our legal system and sorrow for many...but not all. Your father sounds to be 1 of the many. I've known those they've no choice but to label career criminals. Your dads obviously not in that catagory. Question- has your father pursued the avenue of writs of appeal to his sentence? My heart goes out to your father for all its worth.

OMG... I can't imagine ever being in a prison. I have only seen them on TV. I did a tour of SQ while in San Fran a few years back, it made me shudder to think of the souls that had to live their lives in that forsaken place. I would never want to be a resident of anything that is remotely connected to a jail or such. I believe I would fear the other prisioners as much as the big house!

Prison sure doesn't seem like an answer to a problem.
My dad is having a hell of a time where he's at for many reasons.  The SC prisons are mostly young black men, who have had to deal with a lot of racist good ol' boys, and they take it out on my dad because he's the weakest white guy they have in front of them.  I feel bad for the guys because I know it is racist here, but they don't know my dad. He doesn't judge people like they're used to.  They don't care and steal all his stuff(coat, towels, vanity items, candy).  I keep telling him, don't sweat it, we'll replace it.  He usually feels bad for them too, but sometimes they really get his goat.  Last week the young guys wet all the rolls of toilet paper and threw them at eachother, breaking a window. My dad was cold all night, and some jerk had his coat.  Anyway, great story.  Take care

This is an interesting beginning. What's the name of this other author? He should sign off at the end of the post to inform us that it is him and not ThomasFranklin who posted.

Congrats to ThomasFranklin who has carried away the jackpot of 9 clicks!
