I was kind of puzzling over that line:

The stories are sutured into wood with

Pulp and paper twisted like bands of time

My nephew is a wood artist, and he sculpts lovely art, with National Geographic blended into it.  Amazing, hence the poem is for him.  Kevin Burrus.

Poetjpb,

What secrets lie in your bones

solving my mystery,

my quest for immortality

 

I like that line.  That's one of the things I love about poetry, searching for images about the sacred and immortal.
