Aye, the age old dilemma Poet
Lol. Multiple blogs are too time consuming for me also. I've whittled to three and probably need just one. I love your poetry and hope you will keep posting it whatever you decide. Btw, I am thinking about signing up for your writing course after the holidays.

Joanie, Joanie, Joanie,
Yes, yes, yes, do it, keep sane, keep one blog. It makes it so much more fair, Do multiblog people really expect us to read every blog they write??? I came to that conclusion a long time ago, ONE blog and READ and I am having a hard time keeping up with that and life too. Love ya kiddo,

Hey, I had that prob once...

I had more than 14 blogs at one point ... I've trimmed down a lot, and I'm working on trimming out yet another one.  Eventually, I will probably get down to four.

As for the doldrums, yes, this was originally a nautical term referring to an area of unstable trade winds near the equator. It was common for ships to find themselves becalmed in the Doldrums for quite some time, making trip through them long, hot, and boring.

Poetjpb,
I'd say sleep on it, too. I hate when I throw away letters, journals or writing and then regret it, cause you can't get it back.  If I could make a suggestion, I'd like to read some of your actual poetry. Maybe you could put the links to helpful sites and contests in one blog and the poetry in another. That is, if you're into posting the poetry and don't have to worry about publishers getting picky about previously publishes poems.

I may go blog crazy today first........hhhhaaaa

poet,
fewer blogs are more managable. I have a hard time keeping up with three which is evidenced by the fact that I last posted one in May, 2005. Perhaps reducing the number of blogs and providing a general heading, like you have thought of -- although I would come up with something catchy or clever for the title. (I obviously didn't take my own advice in the titling of my own blogs!  ) This should lend a more balanced approach toward your writing. And, as far as the book of poetry goes, way-to-go!  red

Bi Polar to some degree?

That is an interesting thought.

I often think of collapsing my Blogs in to just the one.

(I like them divided into topics though)

Why don't you find a name and rename just one so that it encompasses all other topics and just Blog what you want when you want?

Just a thought.

Glad things are going so well,

Jo

I'm pretty sure that
I'm bi-polar too.............but aren't we all to some degree? AND don't we all think about throwing in the towel just about every other week? Here's the deal: Don't do it. Selfishly...I've just been turned on to you...so I'm digging what you post. Yeah, the pennies aren't really there (like Blogit promised) BUT you get to meet folks, share ideas, get good/bad/indifferent feedback and you get to post everyday and watch your writing process progress or not. You pay for it, it's your class and you don't have to brush your teeth nor get dressed.

THANKS
yes, I am feeling calm right now. ahhhh, just took a long stroll on the warm sand...the waves always bring me back...........I am going to only post in A Column About Nothing, that is my fav.......but I decided to just let the other lie where they are at, not delete for now, although it bugs me to look at them idle....

Hi poet....I say don't do anything while you feel like this.
Just focus on one, let the others get clicks (they will, the one I don't write in still gets clicks)...a few pennies is good still.  Then, after a while when it's not such a frenzied decision, you can decide.  Right now, you might regret it because you are emotionally attached to it.  And it's a pain to repost, so what's the harm in leaving them up and ignoring them?  Write in the one you want, when you feel like it....remember YOU make the rules here about when and what to blog.  Also, please don't write off a good writing spree on a manic episode (bipolar or not).  Artists have ups and downs, that's how we work.  Pain in the butt, but true.  Good luck, and poet, breathe.   Oh, and when in Italy...arrivederci...

ummm, too bad we can't move the unused ones somewhere else
they bug me just sitting there

poetjpb, I can't keep up my own so I'm not about to tell you what to do.  LOL.  I write in Perplexities pretty much every day but the others just sit there for months at a time without new entries.  Once in a great while I throw something in one of them but hardly ever any more.

I'm sure you will come up with the right decision.  Isn't it nice that you are the boss?  hehaha.  Thank you for reading the little child's poem I wrote yesterday for my grandchildren.

Simplify
Less is more! Wouldn't you rather have 1 really great blog, rather than a dozen mediocre blogs?
