Dances - thank you! Yes, we tend to have a hot Christmas here. I still long for the snow at that time of year.

Offbeats - actually I don't much care where I am so long as I'm watching the game! But it was fun to sit in comfort and be waited on.

Free food and drinks is always fun at a game or function.   Us human beings do like to eat while we are having fun.

Temple it was a fun night - barring the being careful about what I looked like! Oops! Just watching the news and nearly saw myself - the camera just stopped before our box. Whew!

Yeah, nothing like seeing yourself chompin' on a chicken wing on TV!
Hey, Cass, we saw you on TV! ::: gulp :::  Sounds like a fun night for you.  I got to watch a baseball game from a VIP box once, but we didn't watch the game, we just partied all night.  It was fun.  No cameras.   You should have brought binoculars to scope out hot boys!

May, absolutely! Seize the moment and enjoy it!

Blanche that is true. I often think we are supposed to meet the people we do in our lives. For whatever reason.

that sounds like fun. You have to enjoy these things when they come up don't you?

Ca88andra,

"90% of life is just showing up."  It's amazing the serendiptious connections that come about in life, when talent and luck come together.

muser - as they say, its not what you know, but who you know that counts!

posted by Ca88andra on November 19, 2005 at 10:10 PM | link to this | reply

Blanche it definitely was a bonus! Not that he eats much at one sitting, just continuously all day...

posted by Ca88andra on November 19, 2005 at 10:09 PM | link to this | reply

It's true, Ca88andra. I've always ha dsuch mixed feelings about that...
A person can be really great at something, but try as he may, he can't get his foot in the door. But, like you, he meets some people who are connected, and suddenly his foot is not only in the door...he's all the way in. Luck? Karma? Just being in the right place at the right time?...

Ca88,

Not feeding a teenage boy must be a bonus. I hear they can really eat you out of house and home!

posted by Blanche. on November 19, 2005 at 10:04 PM | link to this | reply

Blanche - it was a real treat and we did enjoy it. The best thing was I didn't have to buy my son dinner on the way home because he had enough to eat in the box!

Ca88andra,
I went back a couple of posts because I remembered your earlier experience with the marketing staff of the Melbourne Tigers, that they had gone out of their way to make you feel welcome.   I can picture you there, enjoying the game, the box. It sounds like a real treat.
