We cant change the course if we don't stick together!!!
Yes I believe a lot of people believe we are in the end times, especially the religious right, they do look forward to it. I think they just want to say they were right. personally I don't think they are, but they are driving us into that direction with sheer will. I'm not looking forward to it either, so I'm starting to prepare for the worst, if and when it happens, I will hopefully not be caught with my pants down. We can only change directions if we as awhole stick together and will it the other way.

People love the idea that others suffer. It's part of the human condition.
Sets up hero complexes and god complexes and feelings of charity and superiority.  And then there is the religious angle.  Enough hardship, trials and tribulations and the lord will come again.  No wonder televangelists and such work themselves into such ecstatic fits.  Given the catastrophes of the past several years, who can really blame them in their apocalyptic mania?  Still, there is something eerily perverse about it.

end days -
i've got to go ahead and expound on that
questins arise.
the future is unknown in many ways
we can see the effects of human activity on the environment
this could result in apocalyptic circumstances
and yet
we should not be like Jonah
who knew that when he preached to the Ninevites that they would indeed repent.
we should not expect the disasters and almost hope for them
we should preach repentance -- that is, in this case, more respect and holding sacred the universe around us
hope that people take actions that will stave off the disastrous circumstances of their actions.
I have a saying
THE MORE CHRISTLIKE WE BECOME, THE MORE LIKELY CHRIST WILL COME.
mull on that.

Amen to those of us who believe we are living in the end days!
