No benzinha, 85% of the Philippine population is made up of Catholics. So if you look at the probability, a reported wife-beater is -- with 85% probability -- a Catholic.

padre, I think that talvez, quizas, perhaps, your reader understood that

your writing 85% meant that you believed that 85% of Catholics were corrupt, wife beating individuals, maybe??

It is the only part of your writing here that lends itself to misinterpretation, that I can see.

Beating up Catholics, I can't see it here nor in any of your writing over the years. They just misunderstood. Surely.

Probabilities
I am dealing with probabilities here... Reread the blog and perhaps you'd find out that I am agonizing over the fact that the Philippines is no longer the Catholic country it used to be, inspite of the 85% Catholics that make it up.

Friar tuck

I am surprised, and I must say, saddened that a man of God such as you should propagate hatred and contempt for Catholics. Yours is truly a sweeping statement, and it beggars belief that ALL Catholics are as you describe them, and it is an insult to your readers' intelligence to write so.

I am an atheist, but I would never scorn your views, nor those of any other religious person, but respect them.

In my sidebar is Christ's message to " Love they neighbour as thyself", but sadly it seems that you are deaf to His message
