Today was the missing hairbrush day....
I normally leave it on the ledge of the medicine cabinet... but for some odd reason I put it away in a drawer...I was convinced I had lost it at the gym!

NewYorker in Sicily
I sure can relate.. when I reorganize nothing can be found for days and truthfully their are still a few things missing. Not to worry.. I'm sure that I put them somewhere that I would know where they are.  I enjoyed reading your post!

But all is not lost

for the Chia Pet maintains its healthy chia-ness.  You know, Einstein was a slob so maybe it's a sign of genius.  Then again, Einstein married his first cousin.  Then again, it's all relative.

sharing with a boyfriend is different....sharing with someone who calls you a money waster cause you buy good make up but secretly uses it and think you won't notice is a nightmare! I used to live with someone up till June who would hound me when I bought, for example, ready washed and cut salads.u.she would say "why do you waste so much money? Do you know if your husband will allow you to spend so much when you get married?" And I was like, honey, when I get to that bridge I'll cross it....in the meanwhile, learn to live and get a life already!

NewYorker,

Knock wood, but I would rather live in a cardboard box than share with another roommate.  I think it's a law of nature that if two adult women share a kitchen or a bathroom, only one will survive.  I live with my boyfriend.  We find ways to drive each other crazy, but can agree to disagree on organization, and allow each other some "space" to organize ourselves.

Blanche,

Thank God I live alone! If there is one thing I can't stand is having to explain to a roommate who doubles as Felix Unger! been there, done that!

NewYorker, Do you really have a Chia Pet?  HAHA    I've always heard of them and seen them advertised but never knew anyone who had one.

NewYorkerInSicily,

I can relate so well. It's amazing how much mess 2 people can generate in one tiny apartment. We have one of those plastic drawer thingies next to the computer. It is a lifesaver.  I went out and bought Day-Timer supplies for the year, a new address book, etc. to get more organized. The bookshelves are next.

Good luck finding the Noxzema, coffee pot, etc.  It's a never-ending quest, isn't it?

Oh! I know how you feel!  and I hate not being able to find my Noxema either!

i know that feeling too well...it's even more chaotic with a 2 and a half year old.  For everything I clean up, another mess is made....but she's 2!!!!!  Gotta love it.

There is just no convincing me, no matter how hard I try! It's like trying to take a blanket away from Linus! At least in my mess I knew where everything was!
