I don't have the answer, but I'll say a word of prayer....
You have a good soul, Cosy. You care.

Words of wisdom indeed...but is it fair? I think I want to be bad....lol

I ask myself the same thing all the time...my only conclusion:

Because the good have done their work here...

The bad are given time to turn around and do the same...

That is the mercy in love and in life.

Prayers can and DO bring miracles, so I will certainly pray for her. You should also call Silent Unity and request they pray for her, the request stays active for 30 days.

I don't think any of us fear death or suffering as much as being alone and leaving behind no one who cared. She has you.

"Bad association"? Does that refer to a JW concept?

posted by babe_rocks on November 13, 2005 at 8:18 PM | link to this | reply

Why?  Because if she were a shitty person none of would care and you wouldn't learn anything from it.  But she IS a wonderful person, and her suffering is giving you--if nothing else--a little more perspective and appreciation for the life that you have than you did before.  Now you--and perhaps those of us reading your wonderful post--will be less willing to let ourselves settle for the self-defeating bullshit that we inflict upon ourselves because we know of ONE wonderful person who deserves what we feel we do not.

That's why.

Now take that lesson and run with it.  Don't forget it.  Teach it to your son.  After that, no matter what happens, you can say with all sincerity that you are "sisters for life"--because you learned that from your sister.

God bless.  Sorry to rant.  I'll pray for her--and YOU!  lol

I am sorry about your friend.  This post made me feel like crying.  It is so obvious that you love her and I am sure she knows it, too.  Godspeed.
