You're welcome--I enjoy the quotes myself...that's why they're an integral part of my blog. I agree with you that we each have a unique personality, but I also believe each of us has a soul, a spirit that can connect to the Divine. (mainly because we have a Divine spark of energy in each of us). Part of what I believe is...the One Source is that of Energy...all that exists, exists of energy...so your statement of our brains & neurons firing can be viewed as a good description of Divine energy. Of course, you are entitled to your beliefs -- that's what I love about the folks I've met here on Blogit.com So many different opinions and beliefs...and yet, most folks can come together, learn, write, comment & not take too many things personally. Thank you, and thanks for the reminder of the Gospel of Thomas...been meaning to read the Gnostic Books of the Bible. Just haven't gotten around to it yet...need to read them sooner rather than later. Loved your comment on the post...partaking of the world as little as possible since we're just passersby. So true. Our physical lives are but a moment...our divine connection eternal -- so why collect the unimportant? Good point, Sannhet!

I am no longer sure there is such a thing as a soul. Or devine connection for that matter. All I know is that there is something within us that makes a unique personality. But whether it is sacred or simply so many neurons firing in the brain, I don't know. Thanks for the quotes anyways.

Great post. Yeshua said in the Gospel of Thomas to "be passersby". I take that to mean that since we are not of this world, we should partake in it as little as possible. Gathering stuff is partaking on a large scale.
