Kiddo
I know the types your are talking about.  One of the brains in a class with me got an Ivy League scholarship yet fought to the death that "strep throat" was a disease.  He's a veterinarian now.  I've always thought abuse of the body is what has George looking/acting goofy most days.    Okay, that and the fact that he really does look like a monkey just plays into it all.

MHW-  I doubt it.  I don't like myself.  Besides, I wasn't "dissin" anyone, just asking a question.  A high IQ can be blessed on an idiot.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I was just saying mine.  But now I have to ask...were you being ugly to me?

Kiddo, you should take your show on the road. I can see you on stage doing

one of those comedy routines in which you stand up there, "dissin'" various people in the audience.

And I have no doubt that your biggest fan would be ... YOU.

yes, I believe that.  Really, I do.  Do you know that my husband has been extensively tested at top centers (his parents are really awsome parents, and they wanted to know why he was so gifted in areas,  extremely gifted...) and they determined that he has an extremely high IQ.  Genius level.  And I can say for a fact that he is the best at anything revolving electrical, mechanical, wires, all that stuff.  It's amazing.  But they also said even though his IQ is that high and he is a genius in areas...he has the mentality of a 10 year old...and his reading skills and writing skills are that of a 6th grader.  What is that term, Idiot savant?  something like that?  I believe Bush is a genius.

Kiddo, MHW
To be honest, I'm not a great fan of GWB, but in terms of intelligence, I've seen all of those Internet emails floating around about how he has something like a 70 IQ.  That would mean he would be drooling every waking minute. The fact is, he was trained on aircraft that is considered to be among the most difficult to master.  IQ wise he is way up there...now whether he lost brain cells during those lost years, that's a nother question.

MHW,

President Bush has been in the center of many jokes thanks to his difficulty articulating matters.  Yeah, he's really made some goofy comments, and it's obvious on a regular basis that he does not have what it takes to speak off the cuff.  But does that make him dumb?

Fact is, he has surrounded himself with brilliant people who can aid and advise but even then, the decisions are his to make and I believe he's made some excellent ones.

 - lol...as long as you say so!  Good thing about America, we do have the right to think as we please.

Kiddo, President George W. Bush is very intelligent. He has a much higher

level of intellect than the average person walking around in the streets.

Why is that so?

Because I say it is -- and the First Amendment of the US Constitution guarantees me the right to openly express any personal opinion any time, and on any matter, I so please.

Hey there!  I have a question....do you think Bush is intelligent?  Still good to see you back!

And his blatant attempts to bribe/gag/stifle the press, no doubt with the assistance of the family's tame Attorney General

ariel70, in fact, Ted Kennedy should be doing life right now for what he

did to Mary Jo Kopechne at Chappaquiddick.

It makes you think that being a scumbag must be in the genes, doesn't it? If the Kennedy tribe were ordinary people, half of them would be in jail and the other half -the juvenile section - would be in care homes. They are, and always have been a totally dysfunctional family.

Still, one law for the rich - or in their case - no law for the rich, and one for the poor, still rules okay

ariel70, so true. And what is amazing is, Jos. Kennedy's "actions" during
the WWII era are never brought up by the US news media, and they are mentioned only in a very tiny handful of history books.

posted by Feenix on November 5, 2005 at 10:53 AM | link to this | reply

MHW
Indeed so! And surely, the advice of Joseph Kennedy, the patriarch of that unholy tribe's advice to Roosevelt to dump Britain in the Nazi's lap, should have debarred him from any position of influence.

OFFBEATS, believe it or not, I'm blushing. Thank you for what you said, and
the feeling is definitely mutual. I like you ... a whole lot.

ariel70, my cuz, a question that always come to mind concerning the Kennedy
clan is, how in the hell did the descendents of a Prohibition-era racketeer become "America's Royal Family"?

Welcome to the family LOL

I am almost in agreement with you. Richard Nixon was not a good man or president. He actually was a wife abuser. I agree with that exception. Excellent post.

I think he is my long lost twin...so what would that make you and I?? O yes, cousins!!!

I love MHW...he has always been my hero on this site!! I don't know if you know his background, but his journey is incrediable!!!

MHW and Offbeats

Funnily enough, I'm actually working on a piece on this very subject of public perceptions of their present and past presidents. There's whole lot of myth over there, isn't there. Looking back on it, how, for instance did nobody see ; or if they did, they didn't cry out againt the machinations and the generally sleazy behaviour of the slimy Kennedy clan? As an outsider, this has always baffled me ; they were so transparent!

Actually, Offbeats, MHW is my cousin

OFFBEATS, I'm all right with the part about you and I thinking alike, but
I certainly do hope that the two of us are NOT brother and sister. That would ruin everything

Are you twins? Were we seperated at birth?  I swear we think exactly alike...scary huh? Good post, I loved it and your exactly right about Nixon....maybe 50 to a hundred years from now history will view him differently?

Right on with Nixon! And Reagan hammered the final nail in the Soviet coffin.

You know people - and I'm not referring to anyone in here - really ought to forget the media hype; the jabbering of the hostile vested interests, and get down to reading objectively their own history.

And this is true of every " democracy" in the world

Burly, Richard Nixon went to China and got them to become our allies

against the Soviets, which laid the groundwork for the collapse of the USSR and Eastern Bloc.

By establishing ties with Red China, Richard Millhouse Nixon made one of the most outstanding strategic moves in the history of humankind.

Hi dude!! Still spreadin' love an' friendship to your fellow men???

Place ain't bin the same without you.

I've always thought that Nixon and Reagan are the most underrated presidents, and that disreputable toerag Kennedy overrated to the point of insanity.

Keep up the good work of stirrin' 'em up!

I mostly agree with your list..although I'd drop Nixon down and Eisenhower up a few notches. George W. hasn't really run the gauntlet yet so I reserve judgment on his presidency. If Bush wins the war on terrorism and helps the world to recover from its terrible atrocities, I'd say you are right.
