I've just read through several of your posts on this blog. You write with great clarity and, in my opinion, offer a forum filled with a genuine want/quest for knowledge. I want to give you a thumbs up on that!
I am not part of a race minority. However, I label myself a minority simply because I'm a woman and have been treated as inferior all of my life. I'm a treated this way on a regular basis (sometimes hourly), because my line of work is stereotypically reserved for white males - good old boys - blue collar fellas.
I think diversity needs to be addressed on more than a racial level, because quite honestly, what's wrong with society entails more than just color or skin tone. There's alot more that needs to be addressed as a result of "white inhabitants" landing in America as they did!

Hi Zoke
You may find this interesting: I live in a very rural region. To my knowledge, there are no black people here. I'm not really sure why; it may be that there just aren't enough people to provide diversity.
The only advantage I see to a lack of diversity is that it does provide more of a feeling of unity. Unity is not bad as long as it is not carried to the degree of exclusion.
