Ms. Vision,

Thanks, it does help.  I agree with you that writing regularly is good practise and that reviewing helps. That has helped me tremendously.  Opens my eyes, makes me more observant.   Thanks for taking the time to share your views.

Improving writing
Perhaps the best way to improve writing is by doing it regularly and perhaps surprisingly by reviewing other people's work.

A writer's network helps because it brings together like minds. People who for some crazy reason have this really strong desire to write. Writing can be a very solitary process and it helps to have some level of interaction from other like minds.

I studied English and European Literature at University and I found the clickiness of the writing and publishing process very off putting. Writer's networks work for me better if they are informal and accepting rahter than critical and hierarchical, as they provide the enivironment in which a writer can work.

Perhaps I will never be more than an author of blogs but perhaps that isn't such a bad thing to be. My writer's network gives me the focus point I need to write, evaluate and grow from.

Hope this helps!

Network writing hones skills via trial and error. Fast feedback tells you when, and when not, you are communicating with world readers.
