Argus................my husband prefers bonds too!!!  Dam those typos, lmaoooooooo.

GW, You're absolutely right in your title ---
actually that whole myth is based on a typographical error in a finance magazine some years back. The caption was supposed to read 'Gentlemen prefer bonds' --- as opposed to stocks which of course are much riskier. The extra L in there stuck for some reason.   ARGUS

Fionajean........I have tried different colors, blonde suits my skin tone the best........I wished I looked good in all colors.

Don't know,
Maybe it's just 'cos I look gorgeous with any hair colour (I change my hair colour at least every 3 months) but don't have problems with guy preferring any particular colour. Maybe it's 'cos I'm so humble to?

LOL you are sooo right!!!

Tissi...........dry them tears girl.......I have received more attention as a blonde than I ever did as a brunette.  My hair is long because "I" prefer it that way...........My skin tone doesnt do the brunette thing well but the blonde does.  And in all reality men just want that almighty "BJ" I dont think they really care about hair color, I know I am going to pay for that remark.

Poor Blondes
I think it's true about women, too - they prefer brunettes. Poor blondes - even the new James Bond is being cvriticized for his goldden locks, and he hasn't even made a movie.

There is so much anti-blonde discrimination. Maybe we can be the next "victims" to demand social justice!

Pooch, I leaned over, fell off my chair, hit my head on the floor and realized you are absolutely right, lol. Thanks for posting.

Lean over and listen carefully. NEVER, NEVER believe ANYTHING from the American Psychological Association. Their "studies" have too few participants to mean anything.

Instead, view pictures of all the hot, succesful models, big movie stars, the covers of women's magazines (and men's magazines) and total up the blonde babes. The APA is composed of mostly Psychiatrist wannabees.

Calling Card

That was always certainly true of me.

Graceful,
I'm naturally a brunette, with long hair--woo hoo!--but I've done blonde, red, pinks and purples, too!  Honestly, the MOST "attention" I've ever gotten has always been with RED hair.  To this day, even though the hue changes, my husband still refers to me as "red."  (In fact, that's his nickname for me, too!)  Interesting post!  ~LB~ xo :-)

I really do not what all the fuss is about. I was at a football party last weekend and one of the girls was disappointed that I did not comment on her hair cut short and dye job. I told her it takes males a little time to adjust our eyes up from your other physical attributes. If you are keeping score, I prefer brunettes .

I can't go blonde
I'm kinda of a mousy brown but when I tried to get streaks they turned rust orange. I'll stick to what I've got...since men like it, apparently!

I believe that about the men too, long hair on a man is a big turn off!

Don't be in such a hurry to get to the drug store though, life as a blond is all good, or so has been my experience!!

I have wished to be brunette a few times though, but I have also wished for curly hair too~~

Gracefulwitch,
Did the study say anything about redheads?  I've noticed there's a trend around Seattle, anyway, towards shades of red, from the punky burgundy, to copper, to red-brown.  I've heard some guys (including my boyfriend) really find redheads like Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore and Gillian Anderson (from XFiles) hot.

Woo Hoo...Being brunette is in! Finally! Redemption!
Actually, my hair is going silver...not gray...that silvery white crap.  Started when I was 18 and about 4 months I decided to let it grow out and just be silvery.  Fark...looks like I better get some color so I can fit in with this brunette thing.

I don't do anything especially for men...
as long as i feel good with my hair color, that's the most important...

so this totally explains why I have remained single for all these years. It has been all because of my blonde hair!!You'd think that being dirty blonde would give me an edge, but noooo!
