Awesome write!
You sound so sad and lonely in this relationship.  Great imagery and sentiment expressed in a compact package.  Excellent effort.

this was posted on my birthday

i just noticed it.  Reminds me of  a poem from an old friend of mine, Sharon Mesmer.  "Love is a Many Splendored Thing, In Brooklyn." The contrasting visions between the two lovers.  The book is Half Angel, Half Lunch and is really terrific.

I love the romance here, MiaElla. Those few words are so delightful. And
then, I really feel the contrast of the two people; it's strong and so touching to love someone over such differences.  There is both a beauty to it, and a despair.... (I get a little dispersed on the word "another" at the end; I'm not sure if there's something I'm not getting since I just woke up two minutes ago or if a different word would have conveyed what you mean more strongly;  I'm kind of stuck wanting a bit of an explanation on that.... But other than that one trailing question, for me this poem is absolutely gorgeous.)
