Welcome, ariel70!

Glad to have you on board. Better yet - have these clowns read their ravings on TV the eve before they stand for re-election.

Sccop, I saw some of that as well. Even better - a local radio station was offering expense-paid vacations in Cancun three days after the storm finally left, obviously some sort of canned promo that was put together beforehand and then aired before anyone put their brains gear. (I think I know where the TV reporter who asked a California geologist how many unknown earthquake faults there are under Los Angeles is working now. )

Ignorant politicians and stupid people go hand and hand
I am seeing it now with Wilma. The people in Mexico and Florida have had plenty of warnings and time to get out and they are still being stupid. I saw people in Cancun complaining that no one was helping them, another idiot who came there three days ago for vacation, THREE days ago, the warning has been out for a week. and now in Florida I see some stubborn people and one I know persaonally picking their ass instead of fleeing to saver pastures.

People do extrude the most remarkable, inane and stupid material to suit thier own political agenda, don't they.

Even if the entire population of NO were to be dispersed around the US, it would be pretty small beer compared, not only to the Roman Jewish diaspora, but to the i million Moors expelled from Spain in 1609 ; the several million Armenians driven out by the Turks in 1916 ; the unknown millions of Kazakh, Uzbeks, Tartars, Georgians and other moved by the Russian ; the uncountable people dispersed by the Nazis. And these are only a few examples.

Ignorant politicians should be forced to read their history, for he who doesn't know it is doomed to re-enact it
