LifeByLisa, Oh, man! I'm the same way!
I get so close and then back out. What's up with that? Sorry to hear your birth mom was killed. Goodness. Maybe that should be more motivation for me to pee or get off the pot, huh? So, did your b-family tell you anything about your b-dad? Can they help you find him?

Good luck either way...
I too have the original birth certificate, and had the opportunity years ago when my birth family contacted me. Unfortunately I didn't get many questions answered as my birth mother had passed away a few months prior to them locating me. It was pretty hard, especially since she had been murdered.
I've still gone back and forth since my teen years about finding my dad. I sometimes start a search, have made progress but let fear get in the way.

I understand there is pain and many issues here. I would suggest to search and be done with it. Before the lady expires.

J-Mom,
Thank you so much. You always say such sweet things.

I wanted to publicly thank him cause he didn't have to take the time to write me the story. It meant a lot to me. Yeah, this is a hard decision and it's been a "thing" for me all my life.

As you know I believe in karma and you certainly deserve a lot of good karma! So, when someone does something nice for you just know that you deserve it!

That was really nice! I can't imagine too many people
have helpful information on the subject... In fact most bloggers are nice people. Damn, I'm in a sappy mood. I have to go read something gruesome. (went to the library today and I'm in a Halloween mood)
