I think that's a wonderful idea
I've also started experimenting with watercolour pencils and just getting very vague shapes right. The colours are what I'm concentrating on for the time being.

Do be encouraged it gets easier. I am not always messy like I have been over the last few days.
Each time I get myself into a time challenged mess though.
I learn heaps about my own personality.

I have not done a "real show" yet.
I simply have things hanging in my studio for folks to see it. I have not even put prices up yet. I guess if I don't price it then I can say that is why people aren't buying it.
