I agree...God likes us being detailed, specific, etc... However, just once it WOULD be nice if he could "read" my mind, know what I really want, without all of that. (but....I know it's really better for me if I know EXACTLY what I don't want & EXACTLY what I do want in all the glorious details).

Yeees, I have experienced this one myself.
God likes those technicalities apparently...

Yes, it does pay to be as specific as possible with our prayers. I've also experienced (several years ago) some VERY interesting results & I used to whine & complain until I finally realized that I was the creator of my own misery. If I don't like my life, then it's up to me to change things. (took me QUITE a while to learn this one!!!)

You're right...Catherine Ponder, and several other great writers have mentioned that we need to be very specific when we're putting our thoughts and intensions together with our desires for changing our lives & current conditions. I haven't read many of Ms. Ponder's writings, but what I've read, I've liked alot.

I'm VERY careful about my prayers for this very reason. I've had some near catastrophic things happen that I know I asked for.

It's certainly something to be aware of, being more exact in our wishes, for what we think we are asking for, may not be that at all. Catherine Ponder and others of the "think and create" mindset do say to be very specific in what we ask for.
