Excellent reminder, Damon

there was recently a study published showing that slowed, deep breathing will help lower BP for hypertensive folk and therefore should be used on a regular basis.  I've known this for awhile -- not liking to visit my local friendly GP, I will slow my breathing while in the waiting room, and continue that pace while getting my BP taken, and always have nice low BP as a consequence.  Otherwise, normally I suffer from some degree of "white coat hypertension."

Good post!

Dylan...
...yes, the oxygenation of the body is in this practice, too.

Give it a shot and let me know how you get on.

Thanks for stopping by.

curator...
...Heidi died in 1992, of old age. Though, being a cocker spaniel, she didn't have a slow-down circuit, and continued to arse around like a puppy until her final week. She was a big miss.

Penny is downstairs right now, kicking back. She's an old lady - coming up 14, I think - and a Welsh springer.

I think you might have Mordillo nailed. Lot's of colour, quite bizarre. Sadly, my Mordillo died in the mid 1990s, but I had him for over ten years.

He lived on live slugs from the garden.

Thanks for reading.

...no shame in it - it's just that you're not operating as well as you could be.

Thanks for reading!

Damon, it's ready... Damon's big cock. I'll come back and read your post a bit later. Hope it works better than your test flight on FP's card.

Very interesting, Damon

And helpful. I tried this and I think I will practice it.

The only thing I've heard about breathing before was that people don't breathe deeply enough, but take too-shallow breaths and so deprive themselves the benefits of full oxygenation, or something like that.

This is really helpful information. Thanks...

Yoga is a wonderful practice

and I should get back to it.  What a very interesting story.  Thanks for dropping by and how ARE Heidi and Penny?

And wasn't Mordillo the Fench cartoonist who rarely used words but did use a lot of, I suppose it was magical symbolism, like drawing getaway ladders and stuff?

I have been taught that breathing technique but ashamed to say I don't practice it regularly. BTW, you were using breathe and breath correctly...
