I've noticed you have skipped over my comments a couple of times in the last few days, are you mad at me or something? Whatever it is, I SORRY!

This is a pretty powerful essay you have written here. I feel for anyone who is mistreated by society due to ignorance.

COSY--
Thank you SO MUCH for having the courage and tenacity to say this!!! It is so true, I've never understood why people can be so compassionate to people with every other illness imaginable except the mental illnesses, as though these people choose this for themselves and are to blame. It really doesn't make any sense!!

This really strikes a chord with me.  Why are people with mental illness viewed with such fear, and sometimes loathing?  Maybe it's a rhetorical question for you, because I can't imagine your not knowing the answers.  What does "Borderline Personality Disorder" mean in your case?  I've read that many in mental health professionals believe it is an archaic terminology that invites misunderstanding and discrimination, and that it should be changed to something more accurate.  Excuse me, I've got to go now, and take my Effexor and Wellbutrin.  Hemlocker

You're absolutely right cosy!
It is a sad commentary that people view those with mental illness in any other way than they would someone with diabetes, asthma..any chronic illness. There is a stigma that must be eradicated...and writings like this will help. Sounds like you've reached a better place cosy.
