- Go to Look At Our Quick Response To Pakistan's Tragedy
Why should the Bush administration give a damn about Pakistan?
That self-righteous administration has done everything it can to criticize, condemn, malign, threaten, attack, invade and occupy most of the countries that make up the region known as the Middle East. Now, Pakistan sits a bit to the East of the MidEast, but they're Muslim, so guilty by religion and proximity. Besides, as you've stated, they've got India.

Quick Response for Pakistan; Afterall, We Have a Geopolitical Investment
The (verbal) response would have to be quick; Musharref has nuclear weapons and his position in government (not to mention his very life) is already a tenuous affair. The United States does not have good relations with Pakistan, it has good relations with Musharref. Sadly, though some of the aid was relatively rapid, it has also been pitifully inadequate. But now that we are cozying up to India (as a "B" plan for when Pakistan falls) I guess the White House feels there's no real urgency to step up the pace and quality of the response to the ongoing crisis in Pakistan.
